Fix My Books is looking for an experienced, talented and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team.  

We are a virtual bookkeeping and tax filing service focusing on helping small businesses across Canada manage their finances.

Your Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles and practices and be able to generate accurate financial reports.

Responsibilities include recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing invoices, and maintaining ledgers.

Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Requirements and Skills

  • Highly skilled in QuickBooks Online (this is the only program we use)

  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles (not just accounting software) 

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Honesty, integrity and a great work ethic

  • Works well independently

  • Takes ownership of their work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Always meets deadlines with high quality work

  • Great problem solving skills (doesn’t need to be spoon fed)

  • You speak, read and write English at a native speaker or fully bilingual level.
